ponder this

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be got through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life." - Father Alfred D'Souza

you are my light, you are my endless summer...

Yesterday I read Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson. It wasn't as good as some of his other work but I still enjoyed it. Some of my favorite parts... "I think we've met. Maybe in a dream I had? Or maybe I just want to know you so badly that I'll say anything right now.""Living life was like putting the beach into a jar. The point wasn't to fit everything in; it was to attend to the most important things first - the big, beautiful rocks - the most valuable people and experiences - and fit the lesser things around them. Otherwise, the best things might get left out.""I have a new mantra: 'Live every day from the crack of dawn until I can't keep my eyes open a second longer.'"I'm such a sap. :)

hands down

Breathe in for luck, breathe in so deep, this air is blessed, you share with me.This night is wild,so calm and dull, these hearts they race, from self control.Your legs are smooth,as they graze mine,we're doing fine,we're doing nothing at all.My hopes are so high, that your kiss might kill me.So won't you kill me,so I die happy. My heart is yours to fill or burst,to break or bury,or wear as jewelery, which ever you prefer. The words are hushed lets not get busted;just lay entwined here, undiscovered.Safe in here from all the stupid questions."hey did you get some?"Man, that is so dumb.Stay quiet, stay near, stay close they can't hear...so we can get some.My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.So won't you kill me, so I die happy. My heart is yours to fill or burst,to break or bury, or wear as jewelery, which ever you prefer.Hands down this is the best day I can ever remember,I'll always remember the sound of the stereo, the dim of the soft lights, the scent of your hair that you twirled in your fingersand the time on the clock when we realized it's so lateand this walk that we shared together. The streets were wetand the gate was locked so I jumped it,and I let you in.And you stood at your door with your hands on my waistand you kissed me like you meant it.And I knew that you meant it,that you meant it,that you meant it,and I knew, that you meant it,that you meant it.

i like these quotes...

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." - Harold Whitman"The nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly like pearls slipping off a string." - Lucy M. Montgomery
